Laidig Retrofits Two Wood Chip, Fiber Silos with New Reclaimers in South America
Project Spotlight
Check out this retrofit installation! TANAC S/A is home of the largest wood pellet mill in the Southern Hemisphere, and they're now operating on an even larger scale after making a major upgrade with Laidig! The Brazilian company handles multiple wood materials and needed to make some serious production changes in order to keep growing.
Previously, operators were being slowed down by another silo reclaimer brand that just couldn't keep up with demand. In fact, with the old machines, employees were only able to operate with 5–10% material capacity in their wood chip and dry fiber silos.
That old technology had to go! After retrofitting their silos with two Model 633 Cantilever Reclaim Systems, efficiency has already increased across the board. Workers can fill the silos with well over TEN TIMES more material than they used to, making the whole process easier and safer to manage.
The new configuration will save time, silo space, and precious man hours, which aligns perfectly with TANAC's sustainability mission!
